Telling Time

With classroom clocks in hand, students practiced telling time. Discussions comparing every day phrases such as, "it's a quarter past two!" with the standard term, "it's two fifteen!" guided us in our study. Tomorrow we will use classroom clocks again to learn more about elapsed time. For example,  tomorrow our day starts at 9:30 A.M. How much later is this than our normal school day? (A gentle reminder that late start is tomorrow!)
